A chipped 4x4 Cossie isn't slow....... it's all relative. If I go out in Martin's EsCos, my car's gonna feel dead slow by comparison - doesn't mean it IS slow.

simple, you bought 4x4 becasue you are a chav and couldn't drive a greasy stick up a dead dogs arse
you bought a RWD car becasue you can't afford to keep breaking gearboxes, but have a healthy appetie for donuts and rear tyres, but keep loosing races as in anything other than sahara desert dry conditions you are generally facing backwards, as you still can't drive
Pick the statement that most suits you
(and I have both )

they aren't slow through corners or in the wet in comparison, its horses for courses, consistancy is the best way, not just the straight line ooomph,, we aren't in america
i was cruising back (up my own private air strip) 2 months ago before i sold mine, 3 up with luggage, sitting at around a ton, pulling vac, no boost, then when u get a have-a-go hero in front, flick the indicator on in the outside lane, build some boost and literally climb from a ton to a ton 20 by the time u pass him from about 5 car lenghts back - there aren't many cars that can do that actually PULL hard from a ton then carry on to 140ish and back off and drop back to the inside lane( of the track )at a ton

the people on a website are the LAST people to listen too, utter mongols.
and yes, a stg3 4x4 will be lovely if you like that kind of thing, fast and lots of grip.

as above, steady and consistant wins the race, fast and furious just makes people go wow, then laugh 5 mins later when you are parked up a roundabout the wrongway

i've just got a 4x4 after a few rwds
dont regret it in the slightest
saving up for when the box goes bang
but mines been runing 550 injectors and plenty of boost for a while now and the stanard box is ok , its just how you use them
a mate of mine bust a new standard box in 50 miles as at every set of lights he came to rev limiter and kept dropping the clutch .
just have some respect and it will last a while ( not for ever )

i rekon the best thing you can do is buy a 4wd cossie in britain, after all how many days do you ave a year that its dry
i will always have a 4wd cossie varient s i prefer them to 2wd
dont get me wrong 2wd are fun but not pratcical in the wet espically stage 3 upwards
you can still get the back end out etc on a 4wd though
and it wil also give you a bit more of a chance to get back aswell
