Memories, memories....

Speaking of memories from back then, if i describe someone, can someone tell me who it is and maybe an email addy, i want to say hi!

Back when I had a cossie there was a guy, from up north somewhere, he had a white BIG power R32GTR and an Escort Cossie with ALS.

I remember his R32 had a different front bumper, BIG twin turbos, and blew up its transfer box on the way to one of the TOTBs (1 or 2 i think, was AGES ago).

He used to post here, and on the GTR board, and used to talk to him via email etc a fair bit.

IIRC he worked for a food company of some sort.

I lost his email addy years ago when i left a job, and cant for the life of me remember even his name.

He was a sound bloke and jus wanna email and say hi, see if he still got the GTR, etc etc.

Thankyouplease.

I like Burger kings, I have had loads of Whoppers... so surely I would love the double whopper!!! SOOOO I didn't listen... AND I did feel sick!!!!! and got fatter....

You don't always know what you want... trust me!

TRUE story about Burger King as well!

By the way... that car won't get near the noise limits on tracks with that exhaust as well. Thats some more friendly advice

Actually, heres some pics from the good old days...

Oooh, 2001ish before it even had a rollcage and rolled on Konis and Eibach springs IIRC...

On the Irish (Cork maybe?) RSOC stand at National Day

The inside before i got the cage...

Bit later at Donno, just before i got the cage.
Mere hours later i was escorted from the premisis after a lively "test run" with Matt Bell
1st day i ever met Brom then too, was when he had his mental saff with external wastegate etc.

Later pics when the car had a rollcage and was fully stripped. I ran a 17.5@110 on the first run of the day, wheeeeeelspin even tho i launched in 2nd

The GAY GAY GAY rear lights that i fitted to the car for a few months in the early days

Nice lil blue flame tho

On the M5 with Craig N following me in his FRST after a Interpro RR day, and a flame

The day Spadge bought it

The big brakes it had when i owned it (and whatshisname off here in the background, with the REALLY nice RST, i forget his name )

And thats all i have on my photobucket, got loads more i think, somewhere...

ohh dear

You rely are taking this criticism all the wrong way the wheels are useless this may sound harsh but its the truth you cannot run that sort of power in 7' wide wheels yes cossy owners have done it for years but it doesn't mean its right, you will have no grip what so ever and you may as well open a business account with black circles.com the amount of tyres it will go though you cant possible say it would be as much fun as a car with some proper wheels on the rear as on track something with 1/3 the power will be going by.

Porkie and ryan are only trying to give advise on the gt30 over gt35 thing as it is some thing they have first hand experience of you said its to be a fun car they are purely commenting on that it will be more fun with a gt30.

I dont think Ryan has first hand experience, Porkie deffo has.

I have too, ive driven Porkies GT35d car and ive driven the above car with a T34 on (it was mine for 3years ) and trust me, a GT35 is STUPID fast, but not fun, just LOTS of effort and annoyance, esp as 400bhp in a 1ton car is supercar killing fast anyhow.

i might tell my mate geoff, who owns the car, to put 6.5 x 15inch wheels on it!! maybe RS Turbo wheels and paint them BLACK, then re stitch the seats in tan leather and put a starsky and hutch stripe down the side

and a T2 turbo on it

Well if its fun why have that turbo then?

It wont be fun, unless 5k+ power only is whats fun.

And ive driven a GT35'd 3dr, and trust me, thats NOT fun unless your fun is just boring straight line high speed stuff.

Unresponsive pain in the arse with a high boost threshold is more like it.
Done correctly the GT35 is squirt & off. Mine was totally incredible. Almost the opposite to what Stavros rekons, very flat at the Topend & dies way early.

Standard or low duration (like BD15s are for example) cams do help, yes rod.

So does being more than 2litres.

But squirt and go isnt ever gonna be in the same league as a T35 or similar rod, straight line stuff a GT35 may be fine, but just straight lines arnt for me, i was fed up with Porkies car just driving it on the twisty hillside A-roads to the M4, esp as id not want to thrash someone elses car.
