Default Recommend a good welder ??

Anyone recommend a good welder to buy ?

I'm preferable after a MIG with GAS. What amp's will it need for general fabrication and car work.

What sort of £££ should i look at spending ?

buy second hand,, that way you will get a much more quailty set for cheap sets money

I just paid £200 for a Kennedy 150amp one for the same type of thing, works great.

sealey welders are quite good and a reasonable price a would go for a 175amp model will weld upto 8mm steel no problem and weld on lower settings well to about £400 new

.....second hand for about £125 last year - great welder. I've only done panels & exhausts with it, but Nutter used it to weld some box section together to make some shelving last week - I've no complaints with it.

just bought 1 of these this week, our lasses dad works with welding supplies this is the cheapest i could find on net and its a bargain.

means if u have a prob with the torch or it gets dammaged you can just slap another on no wiring etc just plugs in
