Default blood cosworth

desided i was going to put my 4x4 saff on axle stands today as it`s not tax or insued yet just to give the gearbox and diffs a bit of a spin only 3 of the wheels are spinning front n/s is just moving as if it`s not connected properly but if i start it spinning it does spin but you can stop it why the others are still going round any idea what the problem could be fookin cosworths

because 4x4 cosworths are only 3 wheel drive unless you have a front lsd fitted.effectivly.

Can i ask why?

As said, front diff will be a open diff iff standard so it one front wheel will spin as if it's not connected.

cause ya front diff is a open diff so if its on axle stand it'll only spin the wheel with least resistance

Hold the front off side and the nearside will start spinning.

yes mate car as`nt moved for 6 months

As said, front diff will be a open diff iff standard so it one front wheel will spin as if it's not connected.

errrr, is it common for diffs to sieze when left standing for more than six months?

sorry if it sounds like i'm taking the piss but it's something i've never heard of before.

there was nothing wrong with diffs mate but as car is not tax&insured so can not be driven on the road just wanted to give them a spin thats all
