Simon,if you read this, can you just confirm that the base chip will be ok using the EEC4 TPS????Or do i have to use the PF 4X4 TPS?????
Oh and also has this got boost control...ie varied instead of justa flat boost curve???
Thanks alot...appreciated.

Phil,
I am SOOOOOOO glad Royal Mail didnt lose that package.
Regards TPS, you can use the EEC4 tps (ECU config as 4x4 cossie) but you may need to adjust the zero point mechanically.
I am just about to release a version of software that alllows software recalibration
of the TPS.
You may or may not need this but lets see how it goes.
As for boost control, Yes there is a fully mappable boost controller built in
using either the standard AMAL (Escort type recomended) or
using (YAWN) air injectors or a high speed generic control valve (E.G Greddy).

PLUS you can map against throttle position to get a slower
(or faster if you really want) spool up when just cruising along.
This also can aid when a turbo SURGES badly on part throttle positions.

You also do NOT need to have air injectors unless you want to pay loads
and want the bling effect.
The standard escort cossie amal valve works just as well.
I did not believe this until a well known tuner proved it to me.
Its good that other tuners are feeding back info to me to help with
product improvements and features.
About bloody time

Phil,
The problem is with surgy turbos, its a compromise between power and spoolup time.
Its is not always to possible to map out surging but you can usually reduce its effects.
I am NO tuning expert so you may have to consult an expert about
turbo choice as engine spec also can affect it !

Simon...i found on the T4 i could run without surge at about 24psi after that then probs..i had an in car controller manual one and if i turned it up above 6500rpm approx it was fine.
Still considering turbo.

Phil, All products carry 1 year warranty (on a return to base basis)
Assuming they have not been incorrectly used or abused.
At this point in time, I can honestly say NO ecu's have failed in any way.
I charge a fixed fee for repair of any product when out of warranty.
Also, I can arrange for a small fee, on site repairs or exchange but this
depends where and who you are !

Phil,
Details for your free trial.....
There is a 20 hour time limit set up in your ecu.
After 20 hours of engine run time,
you will get a fault code set saying you have 2 hours more run time left.
After a total of 22 hours run time, the ecu will force a non reversable rev limit to
3500 rpm, 1 hour later the engine will stop and NOT start again.
You cannot bypass this by disconnecting the battery as the ecu does not
require power to maintain its memory. (FLASH TYPE MEMORY TECHNOLOGY)
Nor is there a back up battery inside the ecu.
Only by entering a security code once purchased can this be disabled.
Sorry I had to do this but, I sent an ECU to a well known tuner 5 months ago when
he said that I would get paid within a week.
Still waiting for payment and he ignores my calls !
I know for a fact he sold it on to a 3rd party who is very happy with it.

Unless you have the ability to write a program that can extract the pasword from inside the ECU

You may spend 6 months reverse engineering the code/data for
information but it will only work for that ecu.
I have thought about hackers.... I used to be one

zvhturbo,
Nothing is ever 100% secure but you can make it beyond economical
work for most people but I suppose there will always be hackers who do
it just for the hell of it.
Anyway, if my system is compromised, I can change it any time as all the software
on the ecu is upgradable at any time even when the car is running. !
Yes you are right I do have a program to do it but then I designed the whole
thing so I should know how it works.
