This week's Auto Express
Saw this article, wondered if anyone has any pictures of this beastie.
If you see a Ford Sierra at auction these days, it's likely to be a rare event - and an old banger to boot. However, we've spotted one of the jelly-mould shaped hatchbacks thats unusual for another reason entirely.
A 1984 XR8 is set to go under the hammer at H&H Classic Car Auctions first sale of the year, in Cheltenham, Gloucs on 1st March. It was never officially available in the UK and originates in South Africa, where it was made in limited numbers - only 250 - as a homologation special for racing. Its right hand drive, so is ideal for UK roads, boasts a 5.0 litre V8 and has fewer than 12,000 miles on the clock. The Sierra is expected to fetch between £3,500 and £4,500 and guarantees the highest bidder plenty of Eighties exclusivity.
Cheers
