The yellow GTIr - what class does it run in - is there any homologation(sp) rules against engine mods etc as it has a large front mount by the looks of the pics?

The 6R4 wasn't suppose to be running, Jasper was down to drive his Escort World Car.

Tony's car runs in class 'd' on national 'b' events so just has to run a 34mm restrictor....it has lots of very trick parts, he was a major player in the development of the nissan sunny gti-r both in rallying and rally cross....it went out with capsule failure on Saturday....

good stuff I know they had the group A or WRC conforming sunny that makinen drove i think(poor memory me) if it was that spec a v rare beast i would guess Nice touch with an NME plate too I just thought rally rules were tough as hell hence why it cost so much to buy parts that conform etc.

The Nissan was car of the day for me mate. Popping and banging all day long making all the right noises & wasn't slow at all.

Paul,

A rally purst like you should vote for DaZ Acky mate...lol

I dont know if you looked round Tony's car, but the preparation of the car is probably the best in the country....his attention to detail is fantastic....the rally cross cars too are a piece of art...I was looking round Christopher Evan's astra a couple of weeks ago...beautiful things...

Yeah was talking to Simon when they retired in service, then i got a tap on the shoulder off Chris & Gordon. Was good to see them again and see how the EVO was coming along.

You got anything sorted for Ireland yet & are we talking Ulster or WRC

I must say, never been so close to such ace cars!

My favorite was probably the Puma Super 1600 car, or the ST Fiesta.

Although, the WRC cars were awesome! Made your insides thud when they idle'd!
