Can ya tell if a speed camera is active and has film in it?

that mean you could innocently walk past it and be able to tell or would you require summat to stand on to get a proper view?
is it easy to spot the bulb so then id know whether it was active?i NEED to know cos its baaaaaaaaaaaaad

In aberdeen area a most cameras have radar and flash - its the camera behind the tinted window you want to look for as they usually rotate these around - A90 is supposed to only have one "camera" that they move round locations on each side.

Dependent upon the type of gatso some will be loaded with film and its quite common knowledge that they only hold 800 shots of film in a can
Bearing in mind that they take 2 pics per car thats a MAX of 400 cars which doesnt take long in a high revenue generating area
1 in 8 have a camera head etc as they cost the same as the national debt of brazil where as the box they are in are peanuts
this means that the fear of being caught is in the fact of a box being there
If you were flashed twice you can still get away with it due to the film can being used up by poor buggers before you ...
So the best way to know the score is a beltronics 330 etc or other decent detector because if mine beeps i slow down for it . If it doesnt and its clearly in a SAFE Area like the M11 i wont slow down
So the best advice is you can get flashed yet recieve nothing
but its almost impossible to tell whether there is film left etc
Teh bulb is a giveaway of the box having a camera head init
The vents at the back are urban myths they dont need to be open etc
Now if you get flashed by the new DIGI cameras your fooked they use broadband etc to send it to the DVLA you will normally have your letter in 7 days by one of those
If its a SPECS camera like in Notts you need to keep your average between them correct or yoru fooked they have been spreading them across the city barstards

the camera has bin examined and there seems to be a lens in the top square
dunno wot ya mean bout the bulb is a giveaway?there seems to be a bulb in the bottom right square whatever cos 3 were checked

i went past a camera at 80 in a 40 and it flashed me twice. Would have made a great pic as i locked up my wheels leaving tyre smoke and two dirty black lines on the tarmac - phoned my mate who knows people who put the film in and they confirmed the camera was empty - and that was months ago and i aint heard anything
