Hi guys what sort of power can i run before i lose power on my standard 4x4 intercooler?, id love to get a rs500 cooler but ive got aircon and dont want to remove it!!, im only aiming for stg3 max 330bhp will my cooler cope? cheers all .....btw its a saph 4x4 late92 cossie

 

it'll cope no probem at all

 

no probs mate,mine at 350 andit fine.except summer when harvey set it up asit ran at 90degrees,but that was a very hot day.

 

I had mine at 330 with a standerd cooler when i was running a T3 put it on the same rollers about a month later same spec with a 500 cooler and lost 20bhp

 

I have seen an Escort Cosworth with a 500 intercooler and air-con..........took a bit of jiggery pokery and some time and effort but it fitted and all worked.

Power Engineering did it.

 

what sort of costs were involvedin doing that mate??, if the i/c will handle 340-350bhp max then ill keep it like that .......would love a nice 500 cooler tho would look a1

 

No idea mate - they took it on as a challenge as like most people say - it can't be done - so they wanted to prove that it could. Was a few years back now mind.

 

think radtec make one that fits with air con

 

cool ill look into it ...might ask if any companies fancy making some?
