as title

im looking at buying a speed glass mask

but ive only just started out in welding again and i used to use speed glass

i have a mask but carnt get to grips with it

basically ive found a mask i like and it says its din 11?

what does this mean , will it be ok for mig

ive found another which goes up to din 13 aswell

any help or advice would be great

11 or 12 is best. I find 13 too dark.

 

well the one i want only goes up to 11 anyhow

but the other 13

as long as 11 is fine for mig and im not going to end up with arc eye ill buy

then i can get some decent welding done

 

im a welder by trade [not on cars]wot you need is something that will go from 9 to 13 then you can weld anything you want with it you cant get arc eye on 9 din ,come to think of it you cant get arc eye through a plane bit of glass

as far as i know the glass goes auto to din 11, when it arcs

the other one has an adjuster so you can go from din 9-13

so din 11 will be fine then as it looks a better mask
