Default S2 Headlights

Where is the earth that usually fucks up on s2 headlights.....sidelights work, as do main beam, but no headlights, all fuses, relays and wires we can see are ok...

Got a new stalk to try tomorrow, but also heard its usually an eart?

Anyone help, she goes to her new owner tomorrow so want to sort it!!

i had the same problem with mine at one stage it was the switch

I had the same problem with my cossie and it was an earth from the switch. We wired a new earth from the switch back to the chassis and everything worked again.

kim we had the same prob on sarah's s2 before we sold it and it turned out to be the 2 small white relays at the back of the fuse box
we also tried a new stalk lol

Take them out and clean the pins then try it

its most likely the connections in the fuse box to the relays Kim. Pain in the arse. I rewired mine on external relays.

We had that a prob with our headlights when we bought our Series 2 and it was the 2 white relays.

I just took them out gave them a good clean tweaked the terminals (bent them out a little bit) and refitted them been fine since

lol it was a wire, took it in to an electricians this morning, we knew it wasnt the relays/fuses etc, tried all that ive been without headlights for months

But she was supposed to go to her new owner today so wanted it fixed...... £20 later shes working fine
