Closely related to the Focus through Volvo’s Ford parentage, the C30 shares much of its underpinnings with the ST. That includes the five-cylinder engine that’s won so much praise in the Ford. Thing is, with the Volvo you get a more premium badge, fantastic looks – if there’s a better styled hatchback view from the rear three-quarters we’ve yet to see it – and real ability. That £21,495 price tag looks sensible too, especially compared to the sticker prices of some of the more mainstream offerings here.

Looks very much like my Focus ST but I would rather have a Ford badge
than the "old mans" volvo image...

I hope they make the volvo 4WD as then you may be able to convert the
Focus once my waranty has expired

You can do that already with no work, just bolting on Volvo bits.

Christ, a 4wd Focus ST was on the cover of PF the other month.

The 4wd box, or at least part of the sys, is only strong till about 350bhp tho IIRC, but in 2wd mode its mega mega strong.

Saw the C30 concept at motorshow... PROPER horny concept car IMO
