Default Reliablilty of Peugeot Diesels?

Just about to buy a new plod around for fuck all money, its done spaceship mileage (156k ) but its a plod about so I don't care.

Anyway, what are they like, will it last me a year or will it die as soon as I decide to take it to 3000RPM lol.

The Diva's got 2 i think, think he rates em

i bought a 306 diesel to use through winter and it was great, but was lower mileage than 156k and n/a
would have another

This is N/A 1.4 - only 2 owners so I doubt it was ragged to fuck.

They are great cars. I've had mine 18 months now and serves me great and hopefully will for another 6 months til i get a new car.

The only thing worth checking is that the brakes are ok. they have a probem with the master cylinder like mine has..

Diva's pug has been to the moon and back and still drives PERFECT.

Be a sad day when that pug goes.

Lee R21 also had a pug diesel and never had a problem with his

had a pug 405 1.9 non turbo lasted til 220k when i was 500 miles from my house in scotland going up to get the wife from her parents 100 miles further up car elt a little funny front end travelled up and got her turned round and travelled home (600 miles) half way down heard noises popped bonnet had a few metal filings near cambelt took the chance got home and took car to pug specialist.......he said to me where do i live i said 5 miles away he said i wouldnt have driven it that far engine mount had sheared of the bodywork and the engine had dropped 2 inches ....i scrapped it soon after.........awesome cars look after the engine and they will go on forever.........the same cant be said for other bits tho

Well its unmarked body wise, injectors are a bit worn, he reckons that is all thats wrong with it..

i got a 205 diesel for sale with 90,000 on the clock and tbh mate if i werent into cars id prob have it till i died, fuckin excellent car, in 2 years i spent about £500 quid on the thing overall and about £40-50 a month on diesel.

I used to spend £70 a week in the turbo.. Get in!
