PassionFord Post Whore!!
Yup, had one last year, loved it and only sold it due to wanting more seats!! Great fun to drive (although tail happy in the wet), revs like fook, handles really well and is also comfy on long journeys (drove mine to Newquay at last years Newquay PF pissup!! Nice having aircon and being a softtop, HID lights as standard, decentish boot, mine even had a satnav screen built into the dash!!!! Couple of pics.....

bit of a license loser, from what i have heard, my uncle had one from new for only 1 year and amassed 9 points
was a nice car very quick, and got all the toys
insurance is very high though i think, group 20D
personally i'd get a boxster s (not as quick) but thats just my choice
vtec is sweet though

Good cars great value and alot of fun to drive. A bit gutless low down but get the revs up and they fly
Boxster S is quicker actually Ginge. The current Boxster S has almost 300bhp and even the older ones have the same power and less weight than a Honda NSX! a better car as well but they are more alot more money though.
I like S2000's

This is the one im thinking of buying:

Ive been told previously that 82,000 miles on them is nothing.

grant - looks nice that one, nice colour combo with the interior
Andybrew - god knows why mate! They are very controllable when sliding etc.... The rear subframes are easily damaged though if previously accident damaged so perhaps that one had a bent s.frame?
RS500 - different kind of car altogether mate but out of the 2 id have my old s2000 over my old saff ANY day of the week!

Fantastic cars, great fun to drive. A bit lacking low down but its always going to unless you add forced induction. Very well balanced, many hours of enjoyment have been had on my local rally stage keeping it in Vtec.

Honda have just sent out a press release annoucing that they are doing a limited amount of s2000 Type R's running the same engine but interior wise there more lightweight and race orientated.
It should be a wicked car after seeing how good the standard one is.
The replacement for the current S2000 is out in 2008 but there is talk that the car will be more luxuroious than the previous car.

They are the BOLLOX. I would rather drive my Boxster than my Skyline let alone a shonky saff
Roof down in the summer is awesome....
Roof down at night in the winter with the heater blasting and attacking some country roads is the NUTS.
Fast cars just get you in trouble with the law and may also endanger others if you use them really hard... where as a sports car like a S2000 just makes you smile however fast or slow you are going in my opinion.

I'm with Porkie on that one, softtop down during the summer at night with the heaters on, nothing like it at all. With the S2000's (and Boxsters etc) at least you know that after driving em hard you can pull up on the drive at home, turn it off knowing that its 100% guaranteed to start the next day and not have any oil splattered over the floor!!
What sort of money are Boxsters fetching these days?? We're selling her TT convertible and not really sure what to get next!

That's the equivalent of someone saying "I had this cossie in my mirror and I just nailed the Veyron's throttle and fucked off"
Usual cossie motorway merchants - do you realise fun can be had going round corners too?

prob had more fun the ex's mx-5 than i have ever had in the saff, who needs corners though, just t-junctions
there's something very satisfieng about wiping the smirk off a 911 drivers face on the M1 though (even if you are praying at the time "dont break, please dont break" )

However, when it does break........ I was having a play with a Porsche on the way back up to Norwich once, when the old T3 shat a blade and expired with the biggest cloud of smoke ever. Smile on the Porsche driver's face only compounded the fact that I dove the remaining 2 miles looking like an industrial strength fog machine was attached to the back of the car!
Have had one of the best drives ever, when I took an MX5, roof down, sun blazing, pointed down a country lane I know very well, and just interacted with the road like never before. I LOVE that feeling, and no amount of boost in a straight line ever gives that feeling of satisfaction.

You NEED to take my Boxster down that road. Its just an amazing car to drive. The simple mods I have made to it have just made it alot better than the sum of its parts if you see what I am saying???
Renton drove it recently and just said that car has no right to be that good!!
Its worth about Ł3.50 and a Penknife as well now I only have it for a few more months as well. I promised I would give it to my mum as a retirement present.
I am not looking forward to the mess she is going to make of the wheels
