These things are a bitch to fire with the noise but its all good fun.

Gas parts are a cunt to clean tho
I was a proper gun geek when I was a kid. When my mates would be reading comics i'd be reading how to strip and clean an MP5

Or Mini Me as we call it at work.

7.62 Gpmg is one of nicest weapons i have fired, but like said a fucking bitch to clean[thank god for coke ].

I have not fired a .50 yet but the barrel weighs as much as a whole gpmg.

I want a go on that sniper .50 rifle aswell

What do you boys think about using the Minimi as a section support weapon?

Never did understand the logic behind having an LSW with the same magazine size as the SA80.

i've been tempted in the past to join the TA just so i can play with guns again

I did 5 years in the Army Cadets and a couple of years in the TA - both badged with the Parachute Regiment and fuck me do i miss it now i'm out.

When i was a cadet i ended up down in Bisley shooting for the county a few years and they had a .50 Barrett down there - one lad was given the chance to fire it, got his eye too close to the scope and when it recoiled smacked him in the eye He was walking round with a black eye for the rest of the week

It's interesting that so many people on here are interested in firearms, i'd love to say it's because of the engineering involved - but i think it's simply because they're cool

i still think the engineering on an automatic rifle is stunning. there's a good video on hkpro.com showing a G3 cutaway and firing fully auto, very clver how all the parts work in unison.

do thease things shoot through sand bags with enimy hiding behind em?

and my mate at work told me that if an enemy had hidden behind a rock/bolder you just shoot directly at them and it can CHEW THROUGH THE ROCK

dunno if thats true but by the power of the thing on the vids it looks posible

These things can shoot through concrete walls, and still take your arm off if you were standing behind it.
