I've just had my k&n panel filter delivered and wondered if there was anything other than the k&n oil that you clean them with? It's not bad but it could use a quick blast with something.
I haven't got anywhere near me that sells the k&n filter oil so can anyone recommend anything else?
Thanks

K&N produce a cleaning fluid to cleaning, when cleaned and dried the oil is for exactly that oiling the filter to aid filtration and capture of particles.
When clean the filter will be more white (cotton), the oil is red so you can see where it has been applied, don't over apply though.

I didn't know that. It seems nice and oily so maybe I'll just clean the leaves and stuff out of it. I'm guessing carb cleaner isn't such a good idea
