Default Just had a quick go with the datron timing gear LOL

Well good and bad, confirms it's a real struggle for traction!

Only had 4 quick runs though so not really a definative time but fun anyway!!

0-60 5.7secs
0-100 9.7secs

Gives me a 60 to 100 time of around 4 secs, though the real intersting time was my 90 to 100mph time of 0.68 secs!

Was running around 550bhp for this attempt too.

Considering the whole 0 - 100 run was basically wheel spin all the way I think I need to try some drag radials to improve the traction. Good laugh anyway!!

It does indeed show that for normal road use this sort of power is totally pointless.

Its pretty obvious that anyone who puts 600bhp in a std 3 door is gonna have traction problems Unless you had the full Rod Tarry setup then surely even you realised this?

Looks like another potensial fast car bites the dust with times that wouldnt look out of place for a std 204 bhp cossie!

they aint slow times though are they (well the 60 shows you have a little traction problem) but 90-100 in 0.68 is just fucking crazy

Learn to drive .

Told you so AGES ago - power is pointless without the ability to control it . Hence why I stopped chasing the numbers - it sounds good and is hilarious fun, but it is NOT quick below 100mph (without 4 x 4 ).

i think hte times are good well done karl for having a go.

how many big bhp cossies do you see built for 0-60 runs - not a lot as they are usually built to go like stink after 60 - IMO

saying that i got 5.89 0-60 time at trax so not far Karl how accurate their timing is i dont know, but i was stoned like a fooker

Karl,
If you are going down the route of improving the traction, the difference between the standard and Grp A 6° rear beam is chalk and cheese (you may even be able to go round corners then ).

0-60 5.7secs
0-100 9.7secs
BUT....
I'm only 4.5 seconds behind to 100 with less than half the power
Dont worry Karl I have always thought traction was way over rated!

In all fairness though how often do you open a car up much below 60?

I know I don't, if I'm going under 60 chances are I'm in the wrong place to be playing silly beggars anyway.

Fair play to Karl for having a stab with a car that really isn't best suited to 0-60 sprints

Brommy what the fook you banging on about

Rod Tarry has a proper setup for traction..i beleive he uses your Zoo beam...as far as i am aware Karls at present is std...if it aint then somethings wrong...as for his plans..well do YOU know???As he states here the car is seriously flawed and best off downing the BHP.

For comparison
At the last Cossie qualifiers Mark did 0-60 4.3 & 0-100 8.1 so 3.8 60-100 through the gears.
It was timed in 3rd gear 60-100 3.24s
This was with circa 530brake (470+ nos) with no beam or drag radials.
And it was recorded first run.

Errr no it aint, the F40 does it in low 8's Still pretty damn good though considering it was wheelspinning the whole way I bet 100-150 time is pretty impressive.............get it timed Karl

In general it's wheel spin to around 80ish mph then shift into 3rd and its normally ok in 3rd if you dont shift too quick so as to cause wheelspin.

I think a 80 - 100 time of 1.3 seconds though is something to celebrate, LOL!

It was'nt timed on these runs but previous 0 - 150's take around 15 seconds.

all credit to you Carl, I would be well happy with 550bhp!

High-powered cars IMO are about top speed and raw acceleration, not 0-60

well done

It don't hang about then i wouldn't down size your turbo too much Karl, you'd get board with normal power!

Anyway, that's a new engineering project for you, making it grip like a 4x4!
