I agree to some extent Ranj... but if you told me something like that, I'd believe you!
some people have earned my respect and trust if you know what I mean. We all know Karl has a monster high reving and very powerful car that keeps making the power at huge revs which is what you need for big top speeds
he isn't claiming it at Brunters don't forget either.
Its not some bullshit claim like Mike saying he likes women or Sean saying his Escort moved under its own power

I managed a 0-60 in 4.50 with less than 400 bhp timed with the P.Ford gear @ Brunters on the day Jamie fitted the Boost controller 25 PSI.

Hold Scotty up?!?!?! WHEN????? I would NEVER block a faster car on track I was only out at the same time as Scotty ONCE! and I was behind him....

I know Scotty very well and consider him a mate, I had a good laff with him straight after the session as well about it telling him he was in 'big trouble when I have full power' I told him I was only running 1.4 bar and he replied he only had 0.8!!
I not saying I'm a better driver but lets not forget he has a RALLY car, it has a gearbox, suspension and diffs all suited to Rallying. He was hitting the limiter down craners for christ sake... I had another 70mph and one gear left! With 2bar I would have got around him...

Karl has said all along that when his transmission is 100% he will prove the car for the doubters
As for being a demo car, it is more of a development car for Karl himself

I'm really not bothered about proving anything. I just don't have these type of tendancies that many on this board do to prove things. If I ever time the car I'm happy to tell you what its done whether shit or good.
Who cars if my car does 200 or 300mph. I personlly don't.
Yes I'd like to turn up and brunters and do 200mph. I'd be chuffed to know my car has the ability to do this within the length of runway available.
However as I've always said I do not have the reliability in the transmission yet to handle full power, and since I can't afford to do this yet or indeed afford to keep replacing the existing transmission every time it breaks, the car stays at around 550bhp mark in some vain attempt to get a degree of reliability.
Dumped, yeah once upon a time it revved cleanly to 9000rpm, but of recent I've had misfire problems after 7500rpm. I'm still trying to trace the problem but lack of time has prevented me from spending more than a few minutes to even try to sort it out.

Strange how everyone feels other people need to prove their cars. There is really more to life that what some people on the internet think about your car!

LOL, I hope Rod does crack 200mph first. He's spent a lot of time, money and effort to achieve the goal so fair play to him.
I'm not interested at the moment in my own car, it serves its purpose of being a weekend fun car, but beyond that it has no real purpose. It is'nt an engine I offer for sale so I've no reason whatsoever to prove anything about it.
