karl - in all honousty did you build your car to do that sort of thing ??
your car will/must have an excellant rolling high speed punch for mid to high speed accelleration ? am i right ?? then if so the times are excellant
most people dont want/need a car that has a high capability of accel at a high speed , so cant compare what your car must be like

i don't think there's anything impressive with the times at all!!!!
end of the day Bruce Reed's and Steve Scott's RS 500 setup's (i.e. T4 and 8 injector 500 inlet) posted far better time's in 2wd cars!!!
If Karl's top end is so good lets see some more proof of it!
how comes all these 'big power' cars such as Karls and Porkies etc don't seam to perform where as the 'old' way of doing things seam to always work!!!

i'm only stating the fact that both these cars (nothing personal to either owners) still haven't out performed the 'older' setups!!!! and if/when they do i'll gladly eat my words!
as for national day, yeah i was there and i never saw either cars get anywhere near A1's WRC Escort or Bailey's MK2!! ok yeah both these cars are out and out race/rally cars but again i'm not shit stirring just stating a fact!!

Greeny,
What you must remember is my car is a road car, with full interior. It runs normal road tyres (Goodyears) so is'nt even using a "performance" road tyre such as a Dunlop Formula R.
As such I simply can't put any more power down to improve the times, but I still posted the times as it's just a bit of fun!! Don't take it too seriosuly mate, life does'nt depend on cars!!
Where my car does seem very good is from 100mph upwards, but even so I'm still more than happy to have a road going 3dr cossie that does 9's to 100. It's good enough for me, but I will in the future do a few timed runs with a proper rear beam and drag radials just to obtain the figures the car's capable of.

TBH....most of you car peeps are fooking tools Its like my car has to be proved quicker than yours etc etc...people really should chill..i know i take the piss out of Karl..but fair play he dont have to prove anything.
Some bikers are the same..they just want to say they can beat everyone thru the lanes..no matter if it fooking kills them I say get a girlfriend

So what was the topspeed recorded - was the 200mph broke as easily as reported on karls car? It has already hit the limiter in 5th a few times going by reports from karl and dingy - somewhere near 220mph or something did it not calculate out to so 200 should have been easy on the road ?

I was lapping consistently in the 1.21's... as was Scotty. Bailey car was slightly slower I heard...
That was with 1.4 bar. Scotty was hampered by the fact he kept hitting his rev limiter everywhere BUT trust me with 2 bar I would have easily got past him.
He need more gears to go faster I know that! and I don't pretend to have the awesome car control of scotty or be as entertaining to watch and my car isn't as loud ) BUT he held me up for 4 laps out on ND... ask Warren Kelly if you don't believe me, he was sitting in the car with me.
If you don't believe the lap times, ask Dave from PF. He gave me the times... although there was actually a sneaky lap timer hidden in the Sierra as well Sorry, I know they weren't allowed
Also my car just smashed a Quaife gearbox to pieces the first time it felt more than 1.7 bar... Its FAST.. trust me!
Karl has done over 200mph as well... is that fast enough for you?

God Imi bog off what i want to know - I dont want the association LOL I just want to know if they did it on the datron gear. Its cause I always hear it did - I was told it revs to 9500rpm, that it rev limited 5th on the road etc then at nat day I was told it dont rev to 9500 cause the coil loses track etc - I just want to know what the truth is as I appreciate, like really appreciate good stuff but only want to know what has actually been done.
Not the stories of I have 300hp on 5 bar but am only running 1.5 hence my car is poo etc that i hear all over the place.
Straight talk

Steve Scott's Escort is on 4.4 diffs so maxes out at around 137mph, so no wonder it was exciting to watch around Dono - was massively undergeared, 500bhp and 1200kg ish .
The man turns into a psycho behind the wheel, not wise to race someone who has no fear of crashing their car just to be the man in front . I think they got the "No Fear" T-shirts idea from Scotty's in-car mind-set .
