Default Goodbye Nick@MSD: You will be sorely missed mate.

As many of our customers will know, we have had a lad by the Name of Nick helping out around the place here for a few years now. The vast majority of cars worked on at MSD will have had some work done by Nick, be they setups or live maps..Pump rewires or even engine installs, Nick had a hand in the lot.

Back In December Nick got a once in a lifetime chance to jump a Que and get into BAE, and he expressed his indecision about leaving us and his Regret about leaving us in the lurch and asked our advice and opinion.. I told him to take all teh time off he needed to secure himself that job with no hard feeleings. Its a great opportunity and he would have been mad to miss out on it. He took teh interview, passed and got the Job.

So, this topic is to say thanks very much to Nick, his work has been exemplary and i can honestly say in all teh time i had him here, i never once picked up an one single serious error in his work. he was teh extremely rare type of chap who would never bullshit. If he wasnt sure, he left it alone and asked advice and learnt. He was easy to teach too, yet knew more than enough to potter along on his own 90% of teh time without any supervision or assistance...

Not only that, he was never one to rush off at 5pm. He didnt WANT to leave until teh job was done RIGHT. Even if that meant another 4hrs. (And it often did. )

A Very rare outlook and enthusiasm indeed.
I was happy to leave him alone with either a simple chip on a Corsa or a setup on a 650bhp cossie... Nick was a great asset to my company and became a very good friend. He will be, and indeed already is, sorely missed around this place.

Sorry this Topic is a tad late Nick since your last day was almost a month ago, what with Nicole's father dying and us having to rush to Africa it totally slipped my mind until i was under a car today doing a poxy TPS and wishing you were still here...

I, and hopefully teh owners of many cars you have worked on wish you all teh best for teh future in your new role.

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING MATE.

Absolutely gutted to see Nick depart the MSD strong-hold Having become what I consider a close friend of Stu and Nicole, I have been in Nicks company many many times either during the course of his work or enjoying a meal to unwind - an absolutely fantastic lad you are Nick It's not everyday that an opportunity comes along that you had and you grabbed it with both hands - I admire you for that

I have no doubt that it will lead you onto things that you will enjoy immensley. But one day it might be nice to walk into MSD towers and see you swearing at an RS once again

All the best in all your endeavours Nick - you WILL be sorely missed by customers and staff alike at MSD - Having a gaffer like Stu is a very rare occurence - but a worthy one!

PS - I'm taking your place in my spare time

Thanks for the kind words "boss" . This was one of the hardest choices ive ever made. My time at msd was very enjoyable, i got a rare chance to work on cars i truly have a passion for, and furthermore was appreciated for my efforts. I still feel bad for leaving after all stu and kenny have done for me over the years, and am tremendously thankfull that our friendship remains strong. I feel privaliged to have been involved in the groundbreaking development work that has gone on at the msd
Stu has to be one of the most knowlegeble(spell?) people ive come across with not only the yb, but engines and their software in general, and i couldnt have asked for a better teacher . Id like to give kenny a mention too, equally talented in his field, and also a good friend, many a time ive driven him mad with my stupid questions, good times Sorry ken old bean, somtimes i just liked winding you up !
I will still be around the place from time to time and my passion for cars will always remain. Maybe now im not working so hard i can spend more time on the social side of the fast car world, and get to know more of the customers that trusted me with their pride and joy
Thanks for the kind words everyone, it really means alot
Its been emotional guys, see you soon for a catch up

Awww bless, Nick you are one in a million, i know you did a lot of work on my cars esp one in particular job...but i won't go into that you are a great guy, and nothing was ever to much for you, you always go the extra length to do something to perfection, just like Stu, and Kenny, it must be an MSD thing lol!!!!
And by this post alone it proves just how much you are valued as an employee by Stu, but more importantly as a friend.

I wish you ALL the best in your new job and hope it works out the best it possibly could!!!!

And I'll be seeing you in germany no doubt

Nick was a top worker and I, many a time, saw him working till all hours making sure the jobs were done in time for the customer to collect the following day.

His work was second to none, taking his time to make no errors and provide the best possible service for the customer.

I am sure Nick will be sadly missed.

Good luck with the future mate.

Yep, you will be missed NikNak!

You were an asset to MSD and i know that Stu really misses you there! It was nice for them to have someone they could trust 100%. It will be a long time before they find another employee like you! Your dedication and honesty were second to none. I also wish you were back there as Stu is mega stressed without you!!

Also who else is going to do all the odd jobs on my car now? I guess it will have to be Butch next time he is over

Don't leave it too long before you pop round for tea
