Ok Stu so the actual outlay for the monitor thing only gets you the monitor but you can't use it yeah? So how much for the monitor and chip so you can actually use it???
Also can you tell me who makes these as i won't be buying anything unless i know that the after sales service is decent unlike SECS

am i right in saving that all L8's datastream?

Also, i may not sell you the professional version unless you give me a good reason for you to require it. This is on moral grounds and to save me aggro when you call and say;
i hope i can have one

Spadge, i think all you have to do is take your current chip to your mapper and get them to turn the "serial comms" to "pectel" from "weber" and enable "dynamic adjustment", would take about a minute to do this and burn you a new chip.

wes, Does either version have logging facilities?
Unfortunately not Wes.

SPADGE,
Ok Stu so the actual outlay for the monitor thing only gets you the monitor but you can't use it yeah?
Its down to the map your running whether this works, as Wes has said. Its like tyres, you wouldnt buy a 16" tyre to go on your 15" rim would you? You would check it fits before you bought it

GARETH T,
am i right in saving that all L8's datastream?
Nope... your wrong

GARETH T,
i hope i can have one
Yes mate, but ive no idea why since you run T6 2000

SPADGE,
Also can you tell me who makes these as i won't be buying anything unless i know that the after sales service is decent unlike SECS
If you buy from me then your contract of sale is with me and therefore aftersales service responsibility also lies with me. If you have any issues with my aftersales service (And i cant imagine why anyone would? ) i can only suggest you dont buy one from me.

wes,
Spadge, i think all you have to do is take your current chip to your mapper and get them to turn the "serial comms" to "pectel" from "weber" and enable "dynamic adjustment", would take about a minute to do this and burn you a new chip.
Most Pectel stuff is already set to Serial, as is Wolf, Tornado and many of the other systems out there. Dynamic adjustment may be tricky as many mappers wont be happy about enabling it.

pgt,
no probs stu - i'm pleased i havent had one of those midnight phone calls you mentioned!
that peice of kit looks the bollocks can i have a look at it when i come to pick the noddymobile up?
Kenny is doing your Cam timing etc as we type.. so its all systems go so far..
Il E-Mail you about that monitor pal as on Level 6 its a little more complex im afraid...

Jees Phil... leave the topic alone, any arguing will be deleted!!!

The product is manufactured by PowerChips (Collins Performance) so you can rest assured the quality will be just fine Spadge and its backed up by a long standing company whom i have a great business relationship with and trust 100%.

Freedom of speech at its best.

I was actually sticking up for Stu incase it was YOURSELF manufacturing it..as we all know Spadge was hoping you wouldnt answer for argument values.

Sorry for being on your side.

Stu @ M Developments,
For many years, varios people have reconfigured the Marelli operating system to send out a serial datastream for use by monitors similar to the above. probably the most common known in the uk are Pectel of the early 80's although there are many others around europe utilising the same system.

to save me aggro when you call and say;

I added some spark and removed some fuel, did a topspeed run and now it runs funny.. what are you going to do about it stu?"

How does:
"ROFLMFAO" Sound as a reply?

fpmsl !!!

a couple of question for stu:

1, do you know if the P8 pectel boards with AB chip to run greens, 3 bar etc from the likes of woodford motorsport etc have the serial comms and pectel bits enabled for use with this? ( the boards say, pectel ram/rom P8 issue no. 2)

2, is the screen&keypad small enough to fit in place of the std escos dash clock/thermometer if a blank std ford bezel was apapted?
