would they need to repainted by specialst then or could i just get them powder coated over the top

have to be wet painted, powdercoated is a no no with mag content alloy.

you can get them powdercoated no probs at all

i have a set on my car, had them powder coated by spit and polish.
looks cool and they done a top job...

obviously have a very small mag content then, arent are really magnessium wheels at all then
just a low mag content alloy?
