Depends where you want to fly from, all the major London airports definitely fly there but if you can afford it fly BA into Oslo otherwise you end up in Oslo Torp which is bloody miles away!
It's wicked, everything about the place is beautiful, BUT it's VERY expensive, as in £2.50 for a Mars bar, Not even a pint is about £4 etc. so be prepared. Places to stay are usually expensive too but if you don't mind roughing it a bit you can get places similar prices to a travel inn or similar here.

Testing the future
as PF Dave
tremendously expensive, but absolutely fantastic
if you go and want a cheap hire car, use rent-a-wreck
as for flying - depends where you want to go you can fly ryanair to Oslo Torp and be a couple of hours drive from Oslo, but then it's closer to the south western part of the country. or you can fly to oslo and be close to there or to the main road up north to lillehammer etc. or fly into haugesund and be amongst the fjords

I was in Trondheim about 10 years ago with work and it was £5.20 for a bottle of miller back then.
Some lads are over there at the moment and beer is about £10 and a burger is about £12.
Spirits are seriously expensive.
Lovely place and very nice people.
Lots of tidy old Fords as well as the cost of new cars is a rip off.

Well a Mars bar does not cost £2,5 in a regular shop more like £1. BUT if bought at a fuel station it could cost £ 2-2,50.
Beer is bloody expensive 0,4 ltr in a pub cost in the region £6.
6 pcs 0,5 ltr boxes of beer costs in the shops about £13....
Performance Ford Magazine costs £8 in the magazine shops...
