I have only skipped over this, I haven't studied the spec, but it looks as though you can receive HD broadcasts without having to pay Sky the extra bit.
Anyone a bit more in the know shed some light on it??

With the way it is worded, it does imply that you can recieve the HD channels for free....
However, it also says it works with the FREE TO AIR channels, of which currently none are HD!
Like anything with Sky, you need to have a viewing card with the data on it as to what you should recieve. There is one for FTA (Freesat) programmes, one for "normal Sky", another for Sky+ and of course, SkyHD, which allows you to recoeve SkyHD transmissions. Bit like Sky having them "turned on" for you...
It would of course be interesting to see if you could recieve SkyHD channels with the Humax, without taking out a Sky subscription. But I doubt you can, as if you could, I'm sure many more people would be talking about it rather than paying Sky money for the channels!!!!
I would pressume, more likely, this is a premature machine that will allow you to access free to air HD channels, which will become available i nthe future, when they begin to turn SD transmissions off, which is the next step after turning off analogue transmission (in effect, to replace all the SD digital channels with HD digital channels) but I can't see this happening anytime soon, and probably no in the next 10-15yrs!
