Default Coil Warning Light FORD TRANSIT

Hi all, my friend said that his coil warning light comes on a couple of times a day. I think he's engine is a 2.8 turbo, long wheel base and high top

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated, i think its a 02 or 03 reg.

Cheers

Luke

yeah sounds like glow plus on the way. Though i know on the BMW it can also mean other things to do with fueling. So if i was you get it pluged in to double check whats wrong!!

Glow plus heat the cyc up in the morn so it can fire the Diesel.

Read somewhere on BMW site and said coil warning could be somthing to do with innjector/fueling system. So best get it plus into the computer to double check before changing the glow plugs and its not that

Probably nothing to do with the glow plugs, the glow plug light is also the MIL light and is coming on to show the ECU has picked up a fault. Get it plugged in and have the fault codes read.

Also changing the Glow plugs would always be a last resort as the break off in the head.

If it's FWD it will be 2.0 litre turbo diesel and RWD will be 2.4 litre turbo diesel or 2.3 Petrol.

As he said, don't even bother chagning the glow plugs as i seriosuly doubt it'll be them.
