i wouldnty exactly say he's been shit for the last 4 years, last season he had the highest assist rate in la liga, just because he didnt score a free kick in the last minute to save england from a humiliating defeat since he did against greece all those years back, still a great footballer, plays with his head, just like sheringham and could easily have played at the top til he was 40.

He is a top bloke, does alot for football off the scenes etc...ie David Beckham football academy in Greenwich etc.....
He was due to come spurs on sat aswell..gutted we missed out on him....

why should he put football first, hes not gonna get a game for england hes won the biggest trophies he can, he might only have a couple of years left in him but im sure that the MLS will grow into a decent league over the next few years with him playing there, will attract bigger and better playes and he will be a part of that revolution, so to say hes thinking with his bank balance instead of his football skills is complete bollox. plus he has a david beckham academy in LA too

He did alight in spain i though, watched a few of his games, its just this season it went wrong with the new manager. The England thing didn't help as it seem to make him look worse, however i still think hes not good enough for England anymore. Hasn't been for a while. Lennon had more impact in minutes.
Beckham heavilly contributed to that overuse of the long ball that England do when under pressure. Seen him do it for Real this year, long diagonal balls that don't always pay off. If you compare him to his number 7 replacement at United now, he can't turn a game like Ronaldo can. Same with his predecessor, Kanchelskis. Too costly having a player in the team just for crosses and free kicks when you can get a better overall package who can terrorise teams.

Who in the fucking world pays ANYONE $50m a YEAR? Thats over 4m a month, or as pointed out, a tad under a mil a week!
That has to be a cock up..... Nobody gets paid 50million dollars a year....
Personally I think thats disgusting... Yeah I am jealous - who wouldn't want even a small piece of that cash, but paying someone 50mil a year? Thats outrageous! Look at the state of the world in places - the famine, the hunger, the homeless, the needy, the disabled, the people dying of illness who don't have medical insurance/can't afford treatment not provided by the NHS, etc etc...
