Mark won fair and square. Not being a hard driver at the time (I still aint! ), I didnt realise how hard those evil gits were going to launch. It was as if 3 of the cars had fucking catapults attached to them!
I was down 5 psi on the day which I traced to a dodgy dump valve but it wouldnt have made any difference to the overall winning car. If you look I think I was catching up a bit but winning is winning no excuses. Dunno where the anti-lag thing came from - not true. I heard that Mark had practiced his launches for a week beforehand!! If he did, fair play to him for taking winning so seriously. If he didn't, then it was a good launch anyway.
It was definitely MAD's day. The only think I disagreed with was the Scooby race with Marks car. I understand that K44 ACE thrashed the scooby but they edited it to make it look lke they crossed the line at the same time - 'cos it made better television! (old technology being as quick as new?) But I wasn't there (I had left by then) and am only going on what I was told.
Was a top day though. A special day I will always remember. One thing I will remember is hurtling down the runway at fuck knows what speed only to look up and see a light aircraft coming in to land - confusion as the tower me thinks! My insurance claim for would have been interesting

Yeah maybe but the Cossy had just Koni's on with a 15 year old suspension design whereas the Scooby had active this and electronic that.
Mark hardly had the chance to use his power advantage as the course was kind of set up for handling and still he won by a huge margin. If they had pitched the Cossy and Scooby down the runway, the Scooby would have been seriously embarrassed.
