Default Alpine CDA-7894RB Headunit

Rite bascially i have this data cd made full of mp3's and th problem i'm have is that the headunit is not playing the mp3's in the rite order as the cd has been burnt. When you look at the cd on a pc the mp3's are in the rite order, anyone know if there is a setting on the headunit? or is there a setting on the cd copying software that needs to be changed?

all my other data cd's seem to play in the rite order although they were burnt by someone else!?

Cheers,

Hardeep.

They play them in alphabetical order, so use numbers to make the list up

they are in alphabetical order

ie i have about six dif folders on the cd every folder has mp3's labeled track 1, track 2, track 3, and so on.

so why does every folder i pick play the tracks in different order? anyone know?

Do you mean track 1, track 2, etc, or just 1, 2, 3 ?

Probably the mp3 tags have track numbers on them and the headunit is reading the track numbers and playing them in that order rather than alphabetical order.

Cheers

EIL132

there called track 1, track 2, track 3 etc

so folder one will have say three mp3's on it called track 1, track 2 track 3

folder two will have 2 mp3's called track 1, track 2

which ever folder i am in the tracks are played in a different order i.e folder one above plays in this order track 2, track 1 and then track 3 every time.

why is it doing this!?

Matt
i will check this tommorro with winamp, i do doubt it though and if it did i'm sure the data in the tags would make them play in the rite order as the mp3's are live recordings of a long piece of music which has been split into a number of files.

The number needs to be at the start, i.e. 1. track, 2. track, etc. The other folder may just be alphabetically correct and playing in the right order.
