A mate of mine got flashed by a GATSO today,but the gatso was on the other side of the road.So it photographed him coming towards it.I thought they can only get you when you have gone passed them from behind.

 

I've been flashed by camera's on the opposite side of the road a few times but 've never heard anything about it

but never heard anything.

 

intresting one this as theyve just put a new one up on the greenford road by westway retail park
this one can take pic's both ways from what ive seen

 

Also iv,e noticed the GATSO locations have MARKINGS on both sides of the road.I think there just put there to bullshit the motorist.

 

all depends if it the new style digi ones that take a picture of you coming towrds you but they are on the left hand side like normal ones if it on the otherside i personaly dont think he got anything to worry about at all as loads of my m89s have set cameras of for cars travelling the other way and none of them have every got a ticket in the post

 

They cant prosecute you going towards it. The marking on both sides are there to stop people changing lanes to avoid the camera.

They cannot charge you because they are not allowed to flash at you as it can be a distraction.
