Just picked up this months issue of fast ford. WTF is going on.
Just seems to be all body kits, silly colours and stupid lights etc.
It is getting more and more like max pish evry month. Take this months
cover car for example, I can appreciate the hard work, time, money and
dedication that goes into a project like this but why oh why spend so much time and money to end up with something which looks so hideous??
If you play a silly tune on the radio in this car you really would be mistaken for an ice cream van!! I am not writing this to get up anyones
nose, maybe its just me who doesnt like this sort of thing. As for the mag
it costs £3.70 for a bunch of ads and pictures of silly looking cars. I will not be buying this again!!
PS I hope i havent offended anyone but this is just my opinion. Sorry in advance.

Yeah, ian't bought FF now form months and months and months (still flick thru it at newsagent or service station and if there is a good feature or something I might buy it)

i agree, i did the standard dinner break excursion 2 the shop yesterday and picked up fast ford, performance ford and NME to see if i could spot ma tent @ leeds fest lol...

Started flicking through FF and thought, fuck that n put it back, looked total shit, sorry 2 ne1 on here that might be in it, but they only have the odd powerful cossie or ERST and then the rest is garbage, fink i saw a red fezzie that looked like sum max power crap too.. plus how many time are they going to put the tech info bit about head porting and cams etc.. i must have about 5 issues about heads and cams etc.. no disrespect but it needs 2 get its act 2geva

 

i reckon that they are trying to be different cos if they just done subtle fast fords it would just be the same mag as performance ford,so theyve gone for a different reader,probably the younger audience

performance ford= for people in the know and a lot of people that buy it have rs's

fast ford=people in the know still buy it but people who buy max power buy it aswell i myself prefer performance ford

I think the yellow 'Fiesta' needs more than two bonnet pins,cause when the
air goes into those big nostril like scoops, fuck me there will be one hell of

performance ford is easily the best car mag on the market for one makers, and even pisses over most all-make mags as well, ff isnt too bad, agreed though its going a bit lax bowels and Kevs for my liking shame, as it always has good tech info etc, just needs to modernise its self a bit, but I ALWAYS buy PF and FF every month regardless

 

I think Fast Ford Mag will be worth getting next month as it has about the RSOC National Day & I hear there will be a standard RS500 in Buying Guide

I bought Fast Ford this month too, but only because my new car is featured on page 8. I have literally just got back home with it now and am proper chuffed to say the least

Well if that's the reason to buy FastFord, Performance Ford have "THE" RSOC national day show report including some snaps of the Norwegian cars "WE" brought over on track when they made it out on the Saturday before being black flagged at 111db!! Doh!

There's lots of other wicked stuff in the next issue, but then you all know that already as that's what you expect!

New Editor ? I believe that the new editor is Simon Woolley formally of Retro Cars just started last month so you wont see his influence yet, FF should hopefully start to pick up as his previous mags have all been good

Uncle Henry, I love your car!!!! Not because I saw it in FF, But because I was with the Prior owner when he Bought it! It's an awesome car!!!!! I loved it! It's fooking Classss!

 

Oh yeah, I forgot to add, I used to only get FF, but then PF started getting better with Ben and Keith at the realm,Now I only get PF(Thanks for the subscription ZTee ) and Once in a while I'll look through FF and maybe buy it, Like the one with Davesco on the cover.

I have recently started buying Practical performance cars which is very similar to the old CCC even has Dave Walker writing a column, brilliant mag keeping it very real with realistic cars although there is a guy putting a 27 litre meteor engine into a Rover SDi Quality

Totally agree, FF is shit this month, apart form the ford fair report with my chaved up old car in it!! (the red escort gti BTW)

 

will only buy pf now as ff is total shite dont get me wrong some of the cars are quite nice but its the way they layout the mag its wank and the fact that mine in this months pf on page 140 lol hope you all like my car?????????

 

Some interesting comments. I must confess to not having read them all though.

I think on a board like PassionFord, everyone, myself included, are very much into their performance. It's natural that Performance Ford is going to be the preferred mag - it certainly is for me.

However, for every PassionFord 'performance' website, there are plenty of other sites filled with guys in Corsas and Fiestas and Mondeos etc. who are far more turned on by the latest front spoiler that costs £200, than the latest hybrid Cossie turbo conversion that costs £3000 including an external wastegate...

I agree with some of the harsh comments directed toward the styling on Fast Ford cover car, but I would also be more than happy to feature it in Redline because I know a LOT of people would like to see it.

I guess what you guys don't hear is all the guys saying "Why has X Ford featured yet another standard looking Saff with 400bhp, a set of 17s and a 4-pot brake conversion? Is that all they do?!"
