stella in particular

i have found that generally bottled stella or beer in general tastes better than canned, but recently have had few that smell quite bad and dotn taste good.

Infact during my whole beer drinkin career have had far too many to remember, which aint good?!

anyone else ever experianced this with bottled beer??

think i may stick to cans? or freshly pulled pints

some even a whoel crate of bottled have smelt funny onced in a glass and tasted of shit

heineken on tap or in a can, corona or bud in bottles, luverly

GUINNESS is the stuff for me. Can drink gallons of that stuff. That must be the paddy in me.

ive never had a bad bottle of stella but ive had a few moody pints

im allways on the old wife beater my dustbin man nust think i have a party every week

i can do a crate of 500cl cans in less than a week from bargain booze

 

i can do that in a night or two the need an extra can recyling van around here!

 

Stella does me no favours!

I drink carling cos it hits the spot without turning me into a dribbling mess. Drinking out of cans is bollocks, dunno if its all in the head but the beer tends to taste a bit metallic.

Anyone else tried brahma (prob got spelling wrong), a brazilian lager which is tasty gorgeous. Nandos also sell it which is quite handy!

 

Glass bottles defiantly over cans every time with beer

Cans over plastic bottles with soft drinks like Irn bru.

Drinking bottles in town i've never got my head round either...£2.60 for half a pint?

 

prefer bottles over cans, an usually prefer pints over bottles except in a club, cause youll just end up wearing half the pint with everyone bumping into you.

but had a couple of dodgy pints in the past, must of been lying in the lines.

 

I try to stay away from Stella, don't really have it in a glass, only glass bottles I have is Corona or Budweiser. On tap, Fosters, Hurliman Carling, Carlsberg, Stella if i must or any other larger really. I drink Fosters in can's if I go to the offi

 

2 different brewers of stella, check out the side of the cans and dont go for the brewed in U.K stuff

i was a brewer, no reason why the bottles should taste odd unless they're out of date!

Quite funny really, the title of the thread mentions BEER, and yet not one poster has mentioned a BEER yet , all you mention is LAGER

 

Lagers go off when you keep them in light, you have to store them away dark.

That's why most are kept in brown bottles.
For one or other reason in the UK they sell stella i think in green bottles ? so they really have to be kept out of light, oh and reasonable cool.

 

they are not stored long enough for them to go off in our house

 

i find carlsberg export is better out of a bottle , haveing a few right now

 

yeah i never trust any one drinking from a bottle in town you only pay over the odds if your gonna bottle someone in my opinion i always drink pints

 

strange lol, my missus bought me 5 bottles of the different varieties of Leffe for xmas, i fookin love the stuff

put em in the fridge earlier and now on me 4th lol

some are 8.5% least is 6.5% lol

got one left lol


i love it!

stella gets me reassuringly twatted tho, so i dont drink it any more lol

 

if i'm out it is either stella if with mates or fosters with family,

at home Coors light or redstripe or if i'm flush a crate of stella


trouble with bottles is they aint as big as cans

 

24 cans of carling for £11 in somerfield at the mo. cheap night in

 

miller in bottle...

 

£14 for 24 cans of stella in tescos today

 

green bottles are the best for beers/lagers...something to do with the way they absorbe or dont absorbe light.....BECKS every time.....
