It's still a car, no matter how fast.

You will never feel part of a car like you feel part of a sportsbike.
Moving your weight backward for traction coming out of a corner, climbing over the front trying to keep it down, dragging your knee round a 90mph corner or even just wheelying through traffic

A bike feels organic in a way a car just can't match.

I can honestly say if I was offered a drive of a F1 car or a MotoGP bike I'd take the bike everytime.

Yes the car would be faster but I'd be having sooo much more fun on the bike

If there was a choice between having a fast bike and having a fast car the bike would win with me everytime You never lose the feeling of pure excitement and adrenaline when the front wheel comes up in the air as you pin the throttle wide open coming over a crest of a hill or bump in the road

    Cheers GurnE

Yeah mate this was my first Blade and fooking loved it, an RRP, 2 owners and only done 16k miles with a folder full of receipts from main dealer all its life, was absolutely mint. Fitted a dynojet kit and full titanium Akrapovic system straight after i bought it. It sounded the mutts nuts and the sheer rush of speed at 9500rpm was mental

Only got rid of it after doing a couple of track days and not being able to match the speeds of the newer 1000's on the long straights

Have a home vid made with my vid camera strapped to the tank and filmed me thrashing it along the roads at silly speeds !! Cranked it up to 160 at one point

Would post the vid up on here if i knew how to put it on the computer as its only on a normal copy dvd !!

I'd go for something like the CBR600 to start with as they are a great bike to get used, very reliable and an ideal all rounder.

I think its great when people get the old sheds out on the field. Makes things really interesting and if you drop it you can;t break much.

old sheds but yes an old knackered bike least you dont care if it goes bang so you hold the throttle open until you hear the valves tapping on the cylinder, get airborn even though the front forks bottom out with a small wheelie ..........let me find a video

how long ago did you work there? My best mates bro works there, Paul Corbett

I left there about two and a half years ago mate, dont think i know him but there were a couple of new guys started just around the time i left.

There are a couple of right characters work there, an older guy called Brian Kidd used to crack me up Some of the stories that came out his head were fooking hilarious!!!!

Enjoyed working with most of the boys there but the company itself is full of complete wankers, the guy in charge of Lang Stracht when i was there ( Gary Copeland ) was the biggest prick i have ever met !

I enjoyed Aberdeen when i stayed there and managed to find a decent quiet area of Bridge of Don to stay in, had a flat in Lee Crescent North, only downside was that there was no garage and had to leave my cossie outside and have to take my bike into the block of flats and leave it outside my door !!!

Far div u bide then!!! Aberdeen talk coming back out of me there !!!!!

I think Paul has been there FAR longer than 2.5 years!
I stay in Balmedie now. I was staying in Newburgh Road at my mrs dad's house for a bit before that. I worked in Asda for 7.5 years too so must've seen your cossie and i guess you'd know mine. What was yours then? I had a moonstone 3 door and then a moonstone saff and they were always in asda car park

It could be a bit longer than that, might be 3 years i think !!

Think i might know the boy you are on about, did he work at Mazda maybe Hyundai before coming up to Lang Stracht ?

I had a white Sapphire with the reg number C20OCO as coco is my nickname.

Japfan, I bet that's a giggle. My R1 was hard enough to keep down with clip-ons!

Is that a Ducati front end?

    PFM six pots?
The calipers are ISR, and the front end is White power forks running aprilla wheels. and it wheelie's for fookin miles!!!!!!!!!!!!! Built for a purpose you might say. HA HA!!
