Escaped murderers from Derbyshire prison

Escaped murderers from Derbyshire prison
I just heard on Radio 2 that two convicted murderers that have escaped from a Derbyshire prison will not have their identities revealed, in order to protect their human rights.
So, basically, these convicts are being protected from being upset or for that matter, captured, because they're criminals.
Does this make sense?
Surely the net would be cast as wide as possible: their faces and descriptions should be distributed to constabularies around the country, to security services and to all gateways in and out of the country, or have I missed something? I don't appreciate being at the mercy of two convicted murderers because they might get a bit upset if they were caught because they were identified.

These two people were on 'day release' at the time. They didn't exactly escape, - just never returned.

So....
From BBC website:
More than 660 inmates have gone missing from Sudbury Prison in the past 10 years.
Croft and Nixon are among 13 inmates who have absconded from the prison in two months.

Derbyshire Police had earlier refused to release the photographs, although they said they were misquoted when saying pictures would not be released on Human Rights and Data Protection grounds.
"It is utterly obvious that there is no public interest arising out of the Human Rights Act which prevents publication"
The new reason given by Derbyshire Police for not issuing pictures of the two absconders is that there was "no policing purpose" because the two men were not believed to be in their force area, but were thought to be in Manchester.
The case is now being dealt with by Greater Manchester Police, who issued more details and photographs of the pair.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
ahh sudbury prison , the security there is a joke , i live not far from there and when one of them legs it they always end up in my fields , cops found a few people hiding in a barn near me a few times , and the main entrance to the place is home to about 20 gypsies all the way down the grass verge , lovely place !
