what lambda sensor for AF Gauge

Default what lambda sensor for AF Gauge

ok i dont want megggaaaa acurate reading but a good one. is there any type of any car which is good or are they all about the same?

any reccomendations

You'll want a wideband mate.....you can find bosch ones on vw's that do the trick

You need:

Wideband sensor
Wideband controller
Wideband gauge


There is NO car that you can pikey that lot off of in a scrap yard as the controllers are built into the ECU and they have no gauge.


You can get a sensor off certains cars, but thats the cheap bit anyway.


You are looking at 200 quid or so for a cheap setup.

yeah but ive just bought a autometer AF gauge so i only need a lambda dont i?

If you want a completely useless piece of shit narrow band gauge that basically tells you no information other than wether your car is running closed loop mode or not, then yes, if you want to know if its about to melt at full boost though, what you have is completely useless.

so what wideband setup would be good to stick in the car as a permanent system? as ive heard the autometer ones are shite too.

Depends on the wideband for that, all the ones ive had will work without one, but yes definately better to have one for datalogging etc if its as a tuning aid, but I dont get the impression thats what he is after.
