connecting xbox 360 live, using aol
following on from my previous post...
i still dont have it connected.
went to currys, they didnt have a router that accepted a usb inlet.
rang aol and after threatening them with cancelling, i managed to recieve an upgrade to platinum and a free router, all for free.
however it will take 2 weeks to arrive, and i want to play now!
so can anyone again tell me how to connect via my pc, with a usb into my pc, and an ethernet out of it into my xbox.
i did the bridging thing and got past the ip addresse part, but it failed on DNS.
now i have deleted the bridge by accident and cant seem to make a new one!
so why did it fail on DNS and how do i bridge the connection

All i have done with my Tiscali usb modem (with no ethernet port) is enable the Tiscali Broadband connection for internet sharing and selected LAN Connection. Plugged the ethernet cable into the xbox and the other end into the network port on my laptop and voila. Im on. I take it your pc has a network port on it?
