I think thats pretty good, its got nigh on 300bhp/300lbft below 6k, not bad on a 2litre engine that makes good power all way up to 9k and is 450bhp per litre

I know of a certain well known UK car that has the same sort of bhp but makes 120bhp at 6k...

Does rev to 10.5k tho

10.1 seems about right for the power level.

Andy Nicholls did a high 10 with circa 800bhp.

Awesome little thing, but I find myself compelled to say 'why'?

That engine in a 4wd or RWD car would be into the low 9's. I know that may sound odd coming from me, but obviously the engine has had a fair bit of effort put into it and it seems wasted.

If he has done it to be different, then he has certainly achieved that!!

bloody right it does, lol, thought youd be the last person to say that.

thing is tho, its a drag car, so he obv competing in FWD class, its sure not the only 800bhp+ FWD dragger in sweeden.

oh, and regarding the gearbox, it must be the T5 ones that are uber-strong, as we have broken TWO 2litre Volvo 850 boxes in the last year or so.
One was drag racing (nowt to do with me, i was at home), and one that was kind of my fault, as i was giving burnout lessons to Emma, and mid burnout, seconds after this pic was taken, the box exploded...
