Check on the Turbosports forum, lots of detaisl there. Little point converting a 1.6 to TBs, you will still have less power than a standard 1.8!!

deffo bint he 1.6 and use a 2.0 or 1.8 at least

you can use part of the focus st170 inlet, this will bolt directly to the head and has 4 tubes that you simply join to the tb's with silicon hose

or you can make your own inlet like it did when i done mine, wasnt the pretiest but dont the job

1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 are the same size engines externally and have not got much difference in weight.

The 1.6 head is shit to say it nicely.

Putting trottle bodies will not help. The ports are like a ducks arse.

i thought the 1600 zetec engine was all aluminium therefor lighter than most engines, im not just putting some throttle bodies on its using omex managment with a piper cam set also some headwork along with piper exhaust and miltek manifold and decat, alot of people have seen good power from the 1.6 and are used in a few kit cars

1.6 is cast iron unless your on about a Zetec SE. Even with OMEX, and the 1600 Zetec heads still no good as it has tiny valves with a tiny combustion chamber to they cant be enlarged
