the last time i was @ brunters, i had problems with my new ecu i fitted/mapped that day, so could only run 23psi, but on the only top speed run i done, i had to back off due to over fueling @ top of 6th gear @ about 7400 rpm, usually rev's to 7750 in top easierly, but still managed 174 mph before 1.25 miles.

Edited, for speeling, plus i could deck it in 1st cos of wheel spin (raining) and 2nd as the transfere box chain was slipping.

terrent.. the times could of been so much better, i was'nt too sure about doing any top speed runs but since kel from power engineering setup my steering and my adjustable lower arms the car has been so sure footed and safe at speed, i have got the top speed bug and a change of final drive to suit the engine will be on the cards and the new turbo smart boost controller

danny it was so much easier with less power
i've got the first turbo smart boost controller and since the thrash i have found out how to switch from sp1 low boost through to sp3 without having to press the buttons on the contoller ( i should read the instructions more thoroughly) but the new one the boost can be mapped in with the revs, i will try the switch with my current controller but if that fails i'll have to get the cheque book out.
when does the pod open.

no worries m8

on the majority of escorts and fiestas the power delivery for everyday driving is not a issue, but when it comes to putting times down then it becomes a major issue.

Shorten the gearing a tad, once these old girls get going they will pull past peak Power & it will pep up the accleration to get up there quicker.
May be a 186+ in that car I rekon, it did 184 with no dramas .

Looking at the data in more detail.
Ade Young was over 4mph faster than all the other Cossies (even Euan) at the end of the standing mile ( before he dropped a Piston) & suggests 190 from that car is on.
Dont study the Turbo boys data but Christian again shows just how consistant his car is in hitting the high 160's .

Our speed calculations reading from the max revs that the ecu saw showed higher than the speeds i got too.....

Rod was working it out quicker than the v box

just put it down to worn tyres etc as it was only a couple of miles of a difference.

that would mean that my tyres (235) have higher sidewalls than a 205?

What about supercar tyres...335 for example? they would have monster sidewalls
