they are tappy from cold mate oil has cooled and collected in the bottom of the engine so alas when cranked cold components arnt lubed 100% i always let my turbz warm up for at least 20 mins befor deathin it, so is a tap not a growl like cam?

 

mmm possibly sticky new 1? if all rockers springs shims ect are ok id check the cam i had a mate who had some washers work lose and fook his whole engine its process of ilimination am afraid mate do the above change your oil maybe use semi if your on fully synthetic oil bar that take to a turbo specialists and a reputable 1 at that you may do more damage than good if ya dont get it looked at mate
