Christian, do your fans bring the temp down fast, or just enough to stop it raiseing?
i have a 4wd cossie inter infront of the rad, so rad cant go in front.
so only have 265mm of space next to the turbo.
Steve, not done anything about rad yet, as only a issue on Trackdays.

Dan - when I had NPE, for a while i used to run with one 10" jobbie on the front - it would stabilise the temps, but won't bring them down very quickly. After i put 2 on the front, the temps would come down straight away... - That was using a Xr2 rad as i'm sure you will be (it was the thicker, earlier type of rad though, noot the newer thinner type with the alloy core...)

you only need a regular/std size fan for your engine size no matter what horse power you got, as its not creating any more heat at idle than a std engine.
i have a kenlowe due to turbo fitment and found that if the fan is on when your moving i get less cooling than with it off say above 20mph, but under 20mph i need it on, but in slow speed.
i control the fan via the ecu telling it to come on "slow speed >70deg"_ "fast speed >91deg" and off above 20mph. a bit complicated but thats what works for me.

if you got the cash try a tubular holding the turbo over the gearbox with a bigger rad and cooler.
costs a couple of quid but seems to be decent results.
