Default How Do u ring a german mobile???

Ive got to phone a german mobile, uncles flying back.
tried the no, tried the german dial code 0049 no infront of it tried taking 0 of begining of the mobile no.

is there another code i have to ring??

i only know the 0049 or the +49.

You don't need a dialing code with mobile phones.....just call the number as is.

just keeps coming up with "the no u have dialled has not been recognised, please check and try again"

if the mobile is registered in germany and you are in england, then you need 0049 and drop the 0

if it's an english mobile in germany and you are in england, you need to just dial the number as you would in england.

if it's an english mobile in germany, and you are trying to call it from germany, you need 0044 and drop the 0

That's not true. You don't need to change the number if you are dialling a UK mobile from a UK mobile, even if it is abroad. However, dialling a German mobile will be just the same as dialling a German landline number.

i.e. Knock off the first '0', then add +49

What is the mobile number you have been given? Don't post the whole number or PM it to me if you want.......
