everyone has grand ideas wot they would do with the money. If anyone finds a high interest scheme tell me about it coz mines pissing me off at mo. Apart rom buying my cos and a few other things all mine has been put away. I would put it into property but all you hear off some is you cant lose you cant lose, its get rich quick option. Then off others its, house prices cant keep going up forever their will be a crash soon. Who do you believe

xr-stu - 10K won't get you a bender for a "week or so" plus all that travel unless someone else is paying your flights. Talk to people who have travelled and find out but I know from experience how quickly $$ vanish when you travel.

Personally, travel is an excellent idea but I would limit it to perhaps 5 countries max outside of Europe that you have really wanted to see and enjoy those properly.

I would then put a few k to one side and dabble with the stock market and put the rest in a variety of high return and as low risk as possible schemes. No point putting it in property yet unless you are ready to settle to pay the ongoing mortgage or have tennants to rent it to.

Id say spend alittle on yourself and have a good start to 2007! then like most say sit down with a financial advisor and go through pro's and con's etc....if it was me id buy an Escos and the rest would go down as a nice deposite for a flat/house (that you wont lose money on mind) and rent it out till you are ready to settle........or if your a hands on guy/tricks of all trades and buy a house that has potential but needs slight attention...never no you could be good at it and could become a full time job for ya.........DONT LISTERN TO YOUR MATE !!

theresa drought on at the moment we ALL know about and the only stuff available all the time right now is pills and candy,,,,,, charlie has returns BUT theres soo many weed dealers selling it now due to the drought meaning they need to sell for cash

the average price of charlie is 40quid a gram of some semi pony stuff going about for 30 to 35 a gram

now lets talk about pills,,,, they sell for 3 for 10 quid which is average for a person on a night out

back in the dayyou would sell 1 for 10 quis easy !!!

unless you buy lood and turn em over you are gonna be paying 1.50 to 2 quid each for em,,,,,,


so at 6 quid a customer how many people you gotta serve to in order to make the same money as a shelf stacker at tescos in a week in wonder ???


drug dealers are these days about a image and thats all,,,,, most sign on and have there rents paied making it appear they do well,,, fact of the matter most of em would be lucky to pull 500 quid a week,,,,, for the risk involved isit really worth it people

would get a better rate of pay being a black cab driver,,,,, infact one of my mates gave up dealing when his brother was murdered and is NOW driving s black cab making more money,,,, easier money too with no risks

seriously mate,,,,,ive got a few mates who done it for a while and only one of them makes big money,,,,, but even he dont make more than 600 a week and hes got his rent paied and gets 120 a week from benifits,,,,, hes only NOW starting to save and look for a legit business to think about as he now admts the game is getting harder than it used to be,,, this year has been a hard one too,,,, even collecting gear in big bits from all over the country due to the drought,,,, its not even the prices are going up either its nobody will sell more than a max of 2 and a Q,,,,,, and you aint gonna get rich selling that a week

I've thought of the drug route, NO really i have. But if you give someone drugs on tick and they dont pay you have to go round and smash some heads in and scare a few people aswel as scare off people who deal on your patch. Now considering i've got a woblle, Can't run, Have a faulse hip, Brittle bone, And are prone to ceizures. I can't even see the pensioner crack fiends paying me. Tis the truth. So i'm going to give that idea a miss.

I'm training to be a financial advisor atm and will be going to work for Coutts in the next year.

But basically you have the following options.

i) Low risk investment. Shove it in a notice account. With a minimum investment of 70k you could get a VERY nice fixed return. Can be at least 5% per year (or around 3.5k+ return on it a year) think about that, spunk it, or get 3.5k back every year for life. check out www.moneysupermarket.co.uk to compare savings accounts.

ii) High risk, such as stock market. But you need to be very savvy to do this to make a large amount otherwise you can lose it. But, stick with investing in large stable companies and your pretty much guaranteed a return over the years. For example, I buy RBS shares though work. Now If I had 70k in there then I would have made seven grand in the last year plus dividends totalling three grand. Not bad really. But if the price crashes I'd lose loads.

iii) Stock Market Linked savings accounts, combination of the above two, but you don't make dividens and the interest is linked to the markets, but somone else manages the investment for you so don't have to worry about reading up on the financial times.

iv) Property, no brainer really, onces you have it in a property its yours and its there, if you can use it to buy a flat & rent it it will keep making you money & you'll have a property to fall on.

v) Splurge it, have ya fun and thats it, bye bye cash.

Seriously, go see an IFA about investing it, if it goes pear shaped, you can sue the IFA... most of em will give you a free consultation anyway.

Personally I'd rather get a return on it every year for life than waste it.

oh option vi) Whack it in a pension. Its exactly the same as a market linked savings account in the fact you invest the money & someone works to invest it in the right places. You can't get at it until you retire but, you'll get full benefit of a lifetime of interest & you wont have to invest shead loads later in life like most people do to have a decent pension at retirment.

I had an Accident and couldn't walk. I went to my local hospital garston hospital and was told the following. 'We think you have broken your hip and dont want to touch' Basicly because there only a minors hospital. They sent me off to one of the biggest hospitals in liverpool with a note which read 'Please X-RAY Bens hip etc'. Now i was in so much pain i nearly fainted. Now instead of the student nurse examined me which involved him putting my leg as high as it would go and me screaming 'Oh fuck oh fuck' he put the note in the bin and told me 'You've bruised your backside son, Get yourself home and do the dishes'. And my brother carried me out screaming and he was saying things like 'Put him down he's fine for god sake'. Anyway i went home and was sat in bed and couldn't move. My mum rang back and told them what happend and they more or less told my mum 'He's over reacting, He will be in pain but not that much'. Then about 2 weeks later we went back as i was still in screaming pain. And they more or less said 'If you had done as you was told and walked on it you would be fine, But as you haven't moved for 2 weeks your leg has seized up'. And sent me for thysio. And even though i told them i couldn't do the thysio as i was in pain. This went on for weeks and weeks. Nobody belived how much pain i was in. It got to the point where they was asking me 'Do you not like college' Anyway this went on for months and months until they finally sent me to a specialist. And i told him my knee was in so much pain so he sent me for a MRi Scan on my knee. Nothing there so was sent back for thysio. They had me on an excersize bike doing all sorts. Then i went to see my specialist and he had a note that said i wasn't doing as i was told in thyshio and he more or less told me 'Well your not helping yourself are you'. By this time about 12 months had passed and i was slowly walking around but in so much pain. Then about a month later i demanded to see a different specialist. And he told me it's a known fact 'Any pain in your knee will be coming from your hip' so decided to X-ray my hip. And when he looked at the X-ray he said he had to sit down because he had never seen anything like it. My hip was completely mashed and over time had crumbled and the healed. In the first place i never had a bruised arse i had broke my hip in several places.


As you can see i've pointed out the Gap where with an arrow of how a normal hip looks (My left one) And as you can see on the other side there is no gap. The whole thing overtime has started to heal together as one.
