Default help please

Right the YB lump, i have built the bottom end and just got a bottom cam belt pulley (mounts on the crank). the problem i have is which way round does it go? One side is smooth and one side is not smooth

Which side goes to the engine face? does anything go on it first? ie washer ?
Cheers

why didnt you take notice when you took it apart

as far as i am aware the flat side faces out, the belt retaining washer goes on then ,and the bottom pulley on last.
