Right ive got a problem with my washer jets on the Saff, they wont bloody work

i changed the motor a few months back, which still didnt help, ive got new jets which i know work cos took em off a mates car, if you remove the jet the water will come out of the hose quite easily, but as soon as you put the jets back on it just bubbles up and nothing comes out,

its getting pretty annoying as cant see a fooking thing when roads are wet, and usually have to tailgate a wagon to get a free screen clean

sounds like the jets are blocked

i had this on mine just took em off and put a needle down them and rinsed under the tap

put them back on and they have been fine once they are adjusted again

your bottle coul have bits of crap in it so the pump is pumping the shit uto the jets

ive just said that theyre new jets taken off a car which they worked in

might have to get a new bottle or take it off

pete- we drove from metro centre on sunday with a squirty bottle, its like pissing in the wind.... dont work

Is there a leak in the tubing? When you have no jets on - the ater takes the easiest route ie out the end of the tube, but with the jets on that end is restricted more and the water may be leaking out somewhere else.

sounds like blocked jets to be honest
even if they were working when you removed them, the fact that there might be crap in the pipes will just block them up again
remove the jets, poke them with a needle while in a bit of hot soapy water, give them a proper rince out and refit them, making sure that you plug them onto the hose to check if they are working before you properly refit them

i just get a needle.. shove it up both parts where the water goes in and comes out and attempt to remove all the crap and blow them out with an airline..

It has the somewhere else in the water lines if the pump is working correctly.

i know you said that but ive been in the same situation

it turned out to be blocked jets even though the jets weer fine off another car, found out that the bottle had bits of crap in it so the pipes were blocked

so had to give the bottle a clean aswell

could also have a slight kink in the pipe when you fite the jets aswell

Also make sure you have the connection to the pumps the correct way round or im sure one does the wipers on the head lights and if there the wrong way round you may be skooshing the light instead of the window

just tried the washer jets back on the car they came off without even cleaning them and they worked so just to clarify to all the people who say jets are blocked lol they are NOT

so could it be either dodgy hose or weak pump?

Check where the hose goes onto your wiper on the headlights, if its off that thats where the losss of pressure could be

the headlight ones only work when lights are on so think they must be the right way round ill double check tomorrow tho

has it got the filter as part of the rubber grommet where the pump pushes into the bottle, this can get clogged & cause problems.

check the rubber filter before the pump dicko also the pump could be failing, my saph went through a few due to the fact they don't get used very often.
