Default Perspex windows

I was just wonderng if there worth it and what the pros and cons are.

Obviously the up side is weight saving but i aint convinced there worth the hassle and the added security risk.

Any input would be apprecited, o and the car will be a track biased car but also used as a weekend toy on the road in the summer

They scratch easily and rattle like an old skoda.

Id say if you do want some, make your own as its alot cheaper.

perspex is shit. if you do it, do it with polycarbonate with a scratch resistant coating

as for security risk - polycarbonate is so called bulletproof glass as long as it's fixed in securely, nobody will be putting a brick through it in a hurry

I had polycarbs in my nova and fook me were they noisy !

But if your looking to save weight without cutting 10 million holes in every panel then they are ideal.

I wouldn't use them in a all out road car, I might put some in the Escort but even with the few miles it will do I know the noise will eventually get on my tits

Noise doesnt bother me, my daily driver is very loud as Dicko might confirm lol.

The golf will have no interior and an external wastgate so it aint going to be quiet

Go for it then mate.

My nova was not quiet at all so it didn't bother me that much but when I drove to the Ring I have to admit a bit less wind noise would of been nice.

Oh and don't do drive thru's as you end up looking like a total cock as I found out
