Default Plug warning

This morning, turned the key on my S2 and it fired up only to idle like a complete bag of shit. Left it a while, hoping it would clear, but no chance.

Checked leads, dizzy cap etc and all where fine. Checked for individual spark, and all looked fine. At this point, i was feeling a little pissed off, and about to fire up the compressor for a leak down test. Visions of spending christmas stripping down the engine were not what i wanted.

I then remembered that i'd been very lazy and not replaced the spark plugs since around april time. I normally replace the 071's every oil change. Put a spare set in, and she started immediately and idled beautifully. Talk about releif....

It's been said before - but 071's NEED REPLACING REGULARLY!!! Do it every oil change i'd say. I've been lazy and not even opened the bonnet since summer, so have myself to blame.
