Just received a letter informing me they're canceling my policy on the 20th becasue they havent received my documents

just so you know, documents went off in the post on wednesday, and they KNOW this, as i've spoken to the callcentres + customer services about it multiple times so they know the documents are on their way in.

i received a letter on monday (thats 4 working days ago) telling me i had 7 working days to send them the documents.

fucking theiving bastards, as i know i'm never gonna see my deposit again!

i informed them that there was a delay with the documents as my proof of NCB hadn't come back from my previous insurer, and made sure i responded to them quickly and kept them up to date... and theyve fucked me about


so, after the phonecall tomorrow that no doubt will result in the robbing cnuts keeping my deposit and canceling my policy, what are my options? legal action? if so how?

unfortunately i paid on a DEBIT card, so cant even go via my card issuer

get cracking, they are mostly held at lloyds so find out who the underwritters were and get them to get chasing too

you get paperwork to compalin and then you get letters and stuff

did this with admiral afer they kept sending me threatening letter saying that i needed to sort the insurance out and that driving on the road without valid insurance was something that they may report to the police

Everytime i sent the documents back with the car info they said they hadeant recieved it.Eventually found oout i had been driving around for almost a month with no insurance the fuckers

Just got my renewal for the S1, Ł205.00 fully comp thats Ł15 cheaper than last year

If its within 14 days of policy inception you can just canel and get a pro rate refund.

 

i was driving for 4 months with no fucking insurance on my old shite box when my old insurance company canceled my policy,,,,, they sent a letter recorded delivery and the cunt of a postman took it to the wrong address SOMEHOW and they cunt signed for it

i lost that years no claims and had to start a NEW policy in december when i should have had a extra years no claims in march following

that was with performance direct i think or another company, im with GSI southern who are ok,,,, they cant fucking seem to change address at any point though,,,,, there fucking useless at that but apart from that they are ok

well there "admin fee's" suck as they always fucking charge for them but i insure a 325i E36 bmw for 380 quid a year with 2 or 3 years no claims,,, cant complain at that can i

 

They messed me about as well sending forms backwards and forwards for ages saying I hadn't signed something and threatening to cancel my policy, glad I'm with Boncaster now.

 

I have used thsi company and never had any grief with them, when sending important documents always use special or recorded delivery

I had the same, I sent my documents of 2 times and they they kept sending me new ones to fill out. They said it would be cancelled by a date even though when I rang them they said they had misplaced them and it was there right for me to send more in

 

I just had a policy with Fortis cancelled cos of a fuck up with direct debit, changed account and they screwed it up. Not complaining tho cos got a cheque last week for Ł105, apparently it was a refund, dont know how they worked it out but they aint getting it back. Started another policy with them thru a broker, used their refund to pay the deposit so hasn't cost me anything, apart from losing the last 3 months toward my no claims.

 

tbh they are very shite! i was happy when they insured me but when i got reversed into through no fualt of my own they were shite! customer service was crap the insurer i had actually got was crap, i got know where for months just promises of call backs or written info they were just generally shite!

you have just reminded me that my old company..has not sent out my 8 years no claims paper work ...

my new company rang them.. and the no claims was transfered over

but better to have it on paper

 

rang em today. the latter aparently went out before i spoke to them re: posting the stuff off. so it's all ok

still stupid that they send a letter so serious just as a scare tactic tho!

they did exactly the same to me mate when they needed proof of what security is fitted..

 

security is going to e a given now, not only do they want proof it's fitted, they normally want proof that it's been fitted by someone who knows what they are doing and is bale to fit them according to their bit of paper

i know i've been asked what sort of history i've had with powerful motors in the past, but thats only been a recent thing
