the-"everyone is going back to cossies"dilemma
after the huge movement of people from owning cossies to buying german/jap cars.
how many are already contemplating going back to the blue oval.
i see butch has sold the golf and got another cossie-rhys is clearly thinking about it,im very tempted to put the 535 sport up for sale and keep the mallard escos i have just got in.
after owning such excellent cars like the golf gttdi, bmw 330d,and the 535i sport-why do we all keep coming back to the old fords???
strange phenomena!

Dont know mate, i am thinking the same. My M3 does everything so much better than my cossie, doesnt brake down and my g/f loves it. Every time i see a cossie i want another, just got to convince my g/f. Example- we saw a lovely black cossie at some motorway services, i went all dewy eyed, she looked at it and sayed "its probebly broke down waiting for the AA truck"
Thats what im up against!!!

cos you walk up to the car, blip your alarm
hop into the snug recaro, pop on the radio face. turn the ignition key and the engine fires into life (most times )
let it warm up for a while, driving slow, people watch the car, people recognise it in traffic. appreciate nods from people who know what it is, rolled eyes from people who dont.
you pull away from the lights, gently in first, look at the temp gauge, nice and warm, slip it into second..........bury your foot...............
brrraaaaaaarrrrrrppppppp, chatter, brrrrraaaaaaarrrrrrrppppp chatter
and the grin spread accross your face as all the other cars turn into small specs in your rear view mirror.
you can't beat it

Dunno, my reason is its as a play thing! knowing i got something in garage to take out and have fun with etc....
Not sure if i would get another cossie, dunno.. would only be a cheap one though stg 1 or 330bhp to keep running costs down if i did

People go back as the cars they change for is usually far slower, nicer all rounder may be, not not as fast or whatever.
Look at the cars theyve went to, ok cars, but not exactly weapons.
Dont see people upgrading to a modded 997 Turbo and then deciding they miss their Cossie much do you

while owning our cossies or rs fords in general we have all built up healthy tool boxes for the repairs we have to do ,lol..........
Now buy a modern german car or similar we will have clean un-used tools, Now thats a waste ,put the tools to good use and buy a cossie
Deffo cant beat the cossie rush tho ,i know ill miss it when i sell mine
deffo want another when time suits tho

Because there is no other car that you get as much respect, tuning possibilities, power etc. etc. etc. for so little. Realistically you can modify a cossie to do just about whatever you want.
