Who cares ? That means that most cars in this day and age are illegal - can you get a fist inbetween the rim and arch on say an M5 or an RS6 ? I doubt it........and if anyone thinks the law are going to stop every car and check.............yeah right. Besides, if it was illegal would the car get through a ticket ?

He is probably thinking of Metro's, they have to have a certain distance from the centre of the hub to the arch to pass the MOT due to their hydrospastic suspension! I think the distance is 14" so that equates to a fist sized gap.
