Default Covered by Paypal?

If you pay for something by Paypal (only £35) and it doesn't arrive, can you claim back, via Paypal, from the person you sent the money to?

He says he posted what I paid for 2 weeks ago but it never arrived. I don't doubt he did post it and he says he has proof of postage. Does he have to claim back from the Post Office or do I?

Any advice gratefully appreciated.

M8 proof of postage is pointless only safe way via e-bay is recorded or special
he has to refund u simple as just start the claim with pay-pal now and if it does arrive u can cancel the dispute
I had a Escort cossie rear spoiler snapped in-half thx to interlink and as soon as the guy mailed me and sent me pics as proof i gave him his money back and then claimed from interlink myself..
All he has is proof he sent something, if hes half decent he will refund you but as i said to be safe put a dispute in

Paypal will view proof of postage as evidence that the item was actually sent.

It is easy to recharge through Paypal if the sender has no proof of sending, but difficult if the sender really does have proof of postage.
Even if Paypal does rule in your favour the seller has to have enough funds in his paypal account to enable you to be refunded.

However it is up to the sender to chase up the Post Office. Proof of postage gives you no cover at all, so as above recorded is the safest way.
